Hope Community Church Internship Application

Thank you for your interest in the Hope Community Church Internship Program. Our mission is to see real people look to the real Jesus for real change. The Hope Internship Program will reflect these values as we, through the help of the Holy Spirit, seek to shape and develop you into a person who relies on the real Jesus for real change in your own life. Our internship is about investing in men and women and shaping hearts for ministry, while actively doing ministry. We believe that God's power is made perfect in our weakness, and we are committed to leading with humility, repentance, and a deep reliance on His grace.

Please fill out this application thoroughly and prayerfully. We look forward to getting to know you.

Section 3: Reflection Questions

Please provide thoughtful, honest answers to the following questions. There are no "right" answers, as we are simply trying to get to know your heart and perspective.

The apostle Paul says, “My power is made perfect in weakness.” How do you understand this idea, and how has God used your own weaknesses to reveal his grace and power in your life?

Our mission is "Real People looking to the Real Jesus for Real Change." Describe a time when you were able to walk alongside someone in their own journey of faith and transformation.. What did that experience teach you about ministry?

Our team strives to lead with humility and kindness. Can you share an example of a time when you had to humble yourself and learn from someone else, perhaps a peer or someone you were serving?

The church is often called a 'hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints.' Given this, describe a time when you were involved in a difficult conflict with another believer. How did you seek to understand the other person's perspective, and what was your experience of confession, repentance, or reconciliation during that situation?

This internship is about investing in and shaping hearts. Given this, what are you most hoping to receive from this experience, and how do you believe God might use it to grow you personally and spiritually?
